Can we expect any one of these to a Sinhala persona from a tiger???

Received the letter

Finally received my Senior Software Engineer promotion letter yesterday, backdated to January 1st. So I’m getting three months arrears...

Decided

I was looking for a house to rent - ( again ) - during the weekend. In the current place we live in (Carlshru gardens in Borella) , the bathroom leaks, place stinks, and the owners are whores who tries to make us pay their electricity bills as well... OK - I shouldn’t be calling them that... But...
Any ways after searching through the weekend I realized all the decent places are in the 20k to 30k range... Which I can afford but - If I get a housing loan the loan instalment would be just above that range as well... Sooo Sunday night - I made the golden decision. I’m gonna buy a house for myself...
Now I’m on the lookout for houses or barelands... But with my Virtusa salary... I won’t be able to afford Royal Gardens... Nor Cinnamon Gardens... A loan plus selling my AD wagon would take my budget to 4.5 mil.. hope I’d be able to find a decent enough place for that...

Back at work!

I came to work on Monday. I was hoping that I’d get some new work - and I did. A new module and a new partner. So far, things have been fairly ok and we’ve been making good progress. It’s not “my kind of work” but, hoping to make the best out of it.

Went on a trip to Riverston on the 12th. Made the best out of it as well. Since it was just before Sinhala New Year places we went were almost deserted. The only disappointing fact about the trip was we couldn’t make it a 2~3 day trip. Photos are in the Sithira’s phone. Will post few here as soon as I get them.

Bored

I can't sleep! Couldn't find a book to read, have nothing to code tonigh... And my phone is disconnected - I remember paying the bill but can't remember whether it's this month or last month.
Gonna go on a trip next tuesday - Me, Sithira NC and Chamini.
I wanted to go out with parents during this vacation but still couldn't. It's been 7 days @ home. Most of the time I was with the computer.. not what I had in mind for the vacation... but had no choice - at least I discovered I still can enjoy coding...

Enjoying coding.. Again!

I thought I've lost the ability to enjoy coding... I really did. Work @ office was boring. I didn't get a sense of achievment doing them. But during last couple of days I had to do some coding which weren't related to office... And I enjoyed it.. every method I wrote gave me pleasure...
